Known as the “impossible wine” because of the steepness of the land from which its fruit was grown, presence of underground, rocky seams and outcrops that were thought to be insurmountable. In keeping with the traditional varieties of Bordeaux, this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
The 2018 vintage of Samantha's Paddock Mélange Traditionnel features a special edition label that memorialises the birth of 'Baby Anna Jane,' the first born to this wine's namesake, Samantha. Anna Jane's arrival in 2018 was a significant milestone for Levantine Hill, marking the continuation of a family legacy that began with her grandparents, and the arrival of the third generation of the founding family.
