Express Winemakers Drinking Wine Red

The Shiraz and Cabernet are sourced from the organically managed Lecco Vineyard in Mount Barker―a site previously leased by Ryan and one he still consults to―while the Pinot, also from Mount Barker, hails from Crystal Brook Vineyard. The Malbec is sourced from the L’enclos du Tertre site in Frankland River. Ryan picks the Syrah and Pinot Noir early to capture freshness and natural acidity and presses them immediately to tank for fermentation. This lightly coloured rosé-style wine was then steeped on the Malbec skins for a short period before all components were blended together. The wine then matured in tank before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
