The classic steep hillside of La Brocarde is composed of clay and iron oxide along with granite, mica, schist rock and limestone soils giving this wine a dark and tannic profile. A blend of Syrah (97%) and Viognier (3%), La Brocarde undergoes fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks before going into new french barriques for 26 months. Only 200 dozen bottles produced.
